Static images

In term 1 we learnt what static images are.

Example 1:

technically all it is, is just images that do not move and the techniques you use for the pictures, the characters poses, the back round or even just grass, a house, etc.

Example 2:

Static images are literally visual images that do not move. They include greeting cards, posters, slides, photographs, paintings, compact disc covers, comics, cartoons, charts, collages, models, dioramas, newspapers, and print advertisements.

Example 3:

Staticfixed, un moving, still, immobile, stationary

Imagelikeness, drawing, copy, picture, model

3 main techniques:

Close-up-close to an item or the persons face to shoe their emotion

Medium-Close-You can see all the characters and still kinda see their emotions

Long shot-Get to see all the actions

Rounding decimals

Hey, names Mihiterina and my blogs about rounding  up decimals if your lost, use the rhyme, 5 or more raise the score 4 or less let it rest here is my example

if the question says

Round to 1 d.p (decimal points)

9.729

first circle the 1st digit after the . and underline the number after the circled number then use the rhyme, 5 or more raise the score 4 or less let it rest, and since the 2 is lower than 5 we allow the 7 to rest, so the answer is

9.7

Place one egg into the plastic sandwich bag, twist the top of the bag and tie closed with the loose ends of strings. This will also attach the parachute to the bag holding the egg. Repeat the experiment with different sizes of bags and strings (the length of the strings should match the size of one side of the square).

For the egg parachute we have to make three parachute’s out of different things for each parachute. Once we make them then we have to go and find somewhere really high and drop each parachute to see which one holds the egg the best.

How parachute’s work

Parachute’s work by the pressure of the wind when someone drops it off of something high. When it drops the wind gets trapped in the parachute and when it does the wind takes some of the pressure off of the parachute so when it lands it doesn’t break the egg.

Why?

Because when you drop the egg, the strings that are attached to the sandwich bag pull down and this open the bag to full size, which creates a large surface area and more wind resistance. More wind resistance slows down the descent of the egg.

You can explain the results of this experiment with the concept of resistance. Wind resistance, also called drag, is simply a force that acts on a solid object. Car designers often factor in wind resistance when designing a car to help it have greater fuel efficiency and accelerate to high speeds more easily. In this experiment, your goal was to create more wind resistance to slow the speed of the object. The largest parachute created more resistance and slowed the descent of the egg the most.

The experiment shows that the size of the parachute makes a difference in the speed of descent, but what if you tried different materials for the parachute? Repeat the experiment with a parachute made from construction paper, plastic grocery bags or other items you have around your house. Do you think the results will vary? Come up with a new hypothesis each time you try new materials and see if your guesses are correct. You’ll learn so much about wind resistance that even Humpty Dumpty may thank you.

About Me

My name is Mihiterina. My nickname is Auntie Horsey. I go to B.O.I.C I’m a Maori. I’m 13 and I have a family. I am the oldest child. My siblings names are Douglas the 2nd eldest, Dawn the 3rd eldest, Ahua Iti the 4th eldest and the youngest is Hohaia. My parents are Wimoka and Terina. My favorite aunts/uncles/Nanas are Ebony, Ani, Pani, Wikitoria,Caroline, Arahia, Ohana, Bookie, Tasha, Jamie, Gabriel, Kharley, Donna, Terina, Tari, Tumamao, Pene, Mohi and Moera

My BFF Kahukura is my most trusted friend I can tell literally anything if it’s bad she will help me through it, or if its weird she’ll just slap me for even saying that or even doing/trying to do that, hence the reason why my parents like her cause she’s just straight with it, if she has a bad opinion she’ll surprisingly don’t say it, I don’t even know how or why she is my friend cause she deserves better and i am so lucky to be friends with her.

Ebony is one of my favourite Aunties.

What I am looking forward to this year is to get big brains. Kahukura is the person that inspires me. I would become a better person if she wanted me to. I didn’t learn anything to be honest and I absolutely hate blogs so I did not like this blog at all.
